Community outreach is a key part of what we do. We are proud to engage with a wide range outreach activities, aimed at all audiences. Some examples of our most recent outreach activities include:

EMPLOYABILITY & ESOL TRAINING
With the support of the European Social Fund, SIEVEMK has designed and delivered the "Learning for Work" programme.
The programme was delivered to 42 women from hard to reach communities in Milton Keynes with the aim of preparing them for employment. The programme included CV training, confidence exercises and provided the women with tips and techniques to support them with their search for employment.
The programme contained an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) component and as part of the 20 week course, learners earned the appropriate ESOL certifications.
At SIEVEMK we want to develop every child's passion for learning and reading!
At the SIEVEMK Reading Club we encourage children to read different types of books to develop their reading skills, expand their abilities and become inspired.
Run by SIEVEMK volunteers, the Reading club takes place every Friday.
If your child is aged 7-11 and you'd like to enroll them in the club contact us.
With the support of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation we have delivered free tuition to over 100 students from schools around Milton Keynes.
The tuition was offered to students in years 9-11 in need of additional support in Maths, English and Science.
WORKING WITH ROYAL SPRINGBOARD TO SUPPORT DISADVANTAGED FAMILIES
We work with the Royal National children's Springboard Foundation to promote boarding school places for genuinely deserving children. This work plays provides life-changing opportunities to disadvantages and vulnerable children who typically come from a background of social deprivation.
8 of our former students of SIEVEMK have been placed in boarding schools through the Royal Springboard Foundation.. We continue to support the work of Royal Springboard by helping to identify young people who would most benefit from the positive impact of a boarding school environment.
