SMK New Home
In 2017 we began to embark upon a new project. With Milton Keynes being one of the fastest growing cities in the UK, we felt that in order to serve our growing population it would be essential to find new premises. Our vision became to develop a purpose-built centre, not just for SMK, but for the wider Community of Milton Keynes.
As we hope is evident from the work that we do, we are passionate about making a positive impact in our community. Therefore, we realised that building a community centre would create countless opportunities, deliver excellent results for the learners and allow us to create a positive change in the lives of many more of the people of Milton Keynes.
Having acquired land in the Heelands part of the city, we prepared for our ‘new home’ project by consulting with learners, local residents, schools, local charities and interest groups. We have been overwhelmed by the positive response and support offered, but there is still more to be done.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise the funds to create this dream environment. The centre will provide space for our core current activities (tuition and exams), training suites, meeting rooms, studio space, hall for hire and a community cafe.
None of this will be possible without significant fundraising. Please consider supporting our work and you too can help us transform the life chances of children and young people across the city. All donations are used to help support our work with exceptional young people like Destiny.
